Cecily Allen, MD, is a second-year internal medicine resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. Cecily completed medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky, where she graduated at the top of her class. She began residency training at Yale in 2020, where she was honored with the Kushlan award for clinical excellence during her intern year. Her research has focused on various topics in acute leukemia, coagulopathy of liver disease, and disseminated intravascular coagulation. She is interested in pursuing a career that provides care to patients with classical and malignant hematologic diagnoses along the critical care continuum. Outside of work and research, she is an active birder and nature photographer.
