Dr Natasha Marianne Setiabakti is a medical doctor from Indonesia, and currently a PhD candidate at Monash University, Australia. She received her Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) from Monash University in 2015, followed by being conferred as a medical doctor by the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia in 2017.
Natasha worked as a general practitioner at Ganesha Hospital in Bali, and at Bhakti Medicare Hospital in Sukabumi, both in Indonesia, before returning to Monash University to pursue her PhD in 2019. Her research at present is based on platelet biology and function in thrombosis, focusing on novel anti-platelet targets in metabolic diseases. Natasha has four research papers so far for her work on platelet function, with papers appearing in Nature Communications (2015), Platelets (2016), Science Translational Medicine (2020), as well as most recently published as first author for a paper in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences (2022).
