I am a final year PhD student in Biomedical Sciences at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). I am interested in the role of blood platelets in thrombotic events, and the potential for developing assays of cardiovascular risk assessment. The title of my thesis is Platelet aggregation and secretion responses are independently regulated: What defines platelet responsiveness?. I am hoping to submit my thesis in August 2022 and graduate at the end of this year. I am looking for a post-doctoral research position to develop my academic and professional skills.
