Dr Vickie McDonald works as a consultant in the Department of Clinical Haematology at Barts Health NHS Trust and is an honorary senior lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. She has a special interest in haemostasis and thrombosis and is the clinical lead for ITP. She is the chief investigator for the UK ITP registry and leads on several clinical trials in ITP, including early phase and novel therapies. She also works in specialist clinics for haemophilia and co-leads the clinical trials team.
