Milou Stals, 28 years old, is a PhD fellow at the department of Thrombosis and Hemostasis in the Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands. She studied Medicine at the University of Maastricht and gained research experience at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. Currently, her research focuses on the diagnostic management of acute pulmonary embolism in special patient populations and venous thrombotic complications in patients with cancer and COVID-19, under the supervision of dr. F.A. Klok and Prof. Dr. M.V. Huisman. Besides research, she is working as an Internal Medicine Physician (ANIOS) at the Haaglanden Medical Center (HMC). You can reach her at M.A.M.Stals@lumc.nl.
