PhD Student
Monash University
Aisha began her studies at Monash University in 2012 when she first undertook Bachelor of Science specialising in Physiology, and later completed her Master of Biomedical and Health Science in 2018. Her Masters research investigated the therapeutic potential of repurposing an approved drug to treat hypertension-induced organ failures. It was through this experience where she developed an interest in therapeutic development research and she continued working briefly as a Research Officer, before venturing into her PhD research at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases. Currently, her PhD aims to investigate novel pathways of pathological thrombosis in the context of mechanical devices and severe stenosed arteries.
