Dr Kirk Taylor, PhD | Postdoctoral research assocaite | Institute for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research, University of Reading
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Reading, with a strong background in platelet biology. I am particularly interested in the role of ion channels in modulating platelet function and how we exploit these to develop novel therapeutics. My current research is funded by the British Heart Foundation and I am investigating hte role of platelet gap junction proteins. Drop by my posters to find out more. Alongside my research I am a member of the executive committee of the Platelet Society (www.plateletsociety.co.uk).
