Postdoctoral Fellow
Versiti Blood Research Institute
Dr. Ratnashree Biswas, MBBS, MD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow working at the Versiti Blood Research Institute, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her current research involves determining the role of PACSIN2 binding to Filamin A and how it regulates platelet integrin β1 function in mouse models. She performs a variety of molecular and biochemical techniques to examine animal hematological parameters, in vivo platelet hemostasis and thrombosis assays, in vitro platelet function experiments, and image/software analysis. Her long-term goal is to become an independent clinical investigator in cancer-associated thrombosis and vascular medicine. Her medical education and training to date have enabled her to acquire significant experience in providing clinical care. She is keen to learn and acquire research strategies, using novel tools and technologies, and advanced research skills/training in a mentored environment from a well‐resourced laboratory to improve the way we care for patients. She is seeking to build upon her current strengths to progress toward becoming an independent clinical investigator.
