Fabienne Ver Donck is a graduate student at the Center for Molecular and Vascular Biology at the KU Leuven, Belgium. She obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the KU Leuven. For her PhD project, she studies patients with platelet disorders using whole genome and RNA sequencing techniques, as well as relevant cell lines for functional validation. The aim of her project is to further elucidate the role of novel genes in platelet disorders and to characterise the molecular defect of known platelet disorder related genes.
