Dr Eleni Gavriilaki, MD PhD, is currently an attending Hematologist and post-doctoral fellow at G Papanicolaou Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. Since her primary research focus are thrombotic microangiopathies (TMAs), she leads not only clinical but also translational research in the field. Importantly, she has also established a referral laboratory for clinical diagnostics in the field, including ADAMTS13 testing, complement functional assays as well as next-generation-sequencing for a TMA-related genetic panel.
