Dr Luisa Weiss is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the UCD Conway SPHERE Research Group at University College Dublin, Ireland. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Bioanalytical Science and Haematology from the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein, Germany, before moving on to UCD to complete a MSc in Genetics. Dr Weiss joined the Conway SPHERE Research Group as part of her final MSc project and continued on to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry and Haematology where she studied the role of extracellular vesicles in thrombosis and inflammation. Dr Weiss successfully completed her PhD in 2021 and secured a Postdoctoral position in the same research group studing the role of extracellular vesicles and platelets in graft versus host disease and organ rejection.
