Dr Bertolaccini is a Senior Research Associate at the Academic Department of Vascular Surgery, School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine & Sciences, King’s College London. Dr Bertolaccini has an international track record in the field of thrombosis and autoimmunity and in the characterization of antiphospholipid antibodies in humans having designed, conducted, written, and published more than 100 peer reviewed papers. She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Standardisation subcommittee on Lupus anticoagulant and antiphospholipid antibodies at the International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), Chairman of the Antiphospholipid Syndrome Laboratory Diagnostics and Trends Task Force and Co-Chair of the Antiphospholipid Syndrome alliance for clinical trials and international networking (APS Action). She is the Managing Editor of Lupus an international journal.
