Sarah Kalia, ScM, LCGC is a doctoral candidate in epidemiology at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and a genetic counselor. Her dissertation research focuses on development and validation of risk models, including polygenic risk scores, for clinical and public health applications. She is co-authoring an upcoming Practice Resource of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) on Genetic Counseling for Polygenic Score-Based Risk Assessment. She serves on the NSGC Research, Quality, and Outcomes Committee and on the Research Committee of the American Board of Genetic Counseling. She is Adjunct Associate Professor and a member of the Research Oversight Committee for the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions genetic counseling training program.
