Laurence Panicot-Dubois grew up in south of France near the Spanish border. She obtained her thesis in 2000 in Marseille and her permanent position as researcher at INSERM in 2001 after a brief internship in Zurich. In 2003, she moved to the Barbara and Bruce Furie’s Lab (Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA). Back in Marseille, she co-leads with Christophe Dubois a group which is interested in molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in thrombosis and in thrombosis associated with cancer. She published more than 50 articles including in Blood, JCI, Cancer Res and PNAS. She is member of the editorial board of the revue Journal of Clinical Medicine since 2017 and co-chair to the Scientific and standardization committee “hemostasis and malignancy” at the ISTH since 2020.
