Romaric Lacroix (PharmD, PhD) is a professor and hospital practitioner in hematology and immunology at Aix-Marseille University (Marseille, France). He has developed a strong international expertise in the field of EVs and coordinates his own research group in C2VN Team 3. He contributed to pioneers works on the fibrinolytic activities of EVs and spent postdoctoral stay in the Furie’s lab at Harvard Medical School (Boston) where he acquired expertise on animal models of thrombosis. His research focuses on the role of EV in hemostasis, from a fundamental to a translational perspective developing original tools for the detection of EV by flow cytometry and the measurement of their procoagulant and fibrinolytic activities. To date, he published around 70 indexed publications focused on EVs. He coordinated several international EV studies in the frame of the standardization subcommittee in vascular biology of the International Society in Thrombosis and Hemostasis where he was appointed co-chairman since 2018.
