Jose Antonio Guerrero, PhD. Department of Haematology and MRC Toxicology Unit, University of Cambridge.
I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Murcia (Spain) where I also obtained my PhD on experimental haematology.
I continued my research on the role of blood platelets in haemostasis, thrombosis, inflammation and cancer in Little Rock (US) and Cambridge (UK) including studies on platelet alpha-granules and the secretory granules of other immune cells. My research combines the use of primary cells from controls and patients with rare platelet bleeding disorders, animal models and iPSc and their differentiation to megakaryocytes.
