Dr. Riten Kumar is the director of the Thrombosis Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School. After completing medical school at the University of Calcutta, he did his postgraduate training at SUNY Downstate and the Mayo Clinic, USA. In 2013, he completed a second fellowship in thrombosis/hemostasis at the Hospital for Sick Children, Canada. Dr. Kumar is a recipient of the Young Researcher Award by the World Federation of Hemophilia, the Eberhard Mammen Young Investigator and the mentored research award by the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in pediatric thrombosis-hemostasis.
