The goal of this workshop is to present and discuss the latest studies investigating mechanisms of pathogenesis in CF lung infections. This workshop will include presentations on multiple CF bacterial and viral pathogens, including studies that investigate fundamental properties enhancing these organisms’ abilities to cause infections in people with CF. Additionally, this session will look at interactions between these organisms and the immune system that lead to ineffective pathogen clearance in people with CF.
