From routine decision-making in clinical care to identifying novel methods and biomarkers to detect complications of CF, imaging studies relay crucial information about the health of the lungs, GI tract, sinuses and bones of CF patients. This symposium seeks to give a broad overview of the applications of imaging technologies to identify and assess treatments of bronchiectasis, sinusitis, liver disease, bone health and osteoporosis, among other disorders. Speakers will introduce concepts that are currently used for research but which are predicted to impact clinical care in the near future or have recently become clinically available. Incorporating concepts such as the detection of mild lung disease in the era of highly effective modulator therapy, and assessments of bone, sinus and liver health this symposium will be relevant to CF clinicians and researchers.
