Michael Coldwell, BSc, BComm, Medical Student Researcher, QEII Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program
Michael is a fourth-year medical student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has been working closely with the QEII Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program, an interdisciplinary team that manages over 170 patients aged 18 years and older in the Atlantic provinces of Canada. His work has focused on quality improvement projects; including improving vitamin adherence with CF patients, celiac disease screening, liver disease, and CF-related diabetes screening. This year at NACFC, he will be presenting two projects: improving vitamin adherence as well as celiac disease screening.
Michael completed his undergraduate studies at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, completing a Bachelor of Life Science and Bachelor of Commerce. He is passionate about applying quality improvement practices to clinical settings in order to help optimize patient care. He is thrilled to be attending NACFC 2022 and looks forward to connecting and sharing ideas with fellow attendees.
