Rebecca Darrah is a board certified genetic counselor currently researching genetic modifiers of cystic fibrosis at Case Western Reserve University. She earned her M.S. in genetic counseling from Case Western Reserve University in 2000, and her PhD in Human Genetics in 2010. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Genetic Counseling Training Program at Case Western Reserve University. Her work on newborn screening protocols for cystic fibrosis is funded by a postdoctoral training fellowship awarded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
