National Jewish Health
Katie Poch, BS is a Senior Laboratory Researcher and Research Coordinator at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO. She received her BS in Anthropology/Zoology from the University of Michigan and completed graduate course work in Biology at the University of Colorado. She started as a laboratory researcher for Dr. Jerry Nick in 2000. In 2010, while continuing her laboratory duties, her role transitioned to include research coordinator responsibilities. Katie has coordinated over two dozen clinical studies, both investigator-initiated and industry sponsored. Many of these studies have focused on acute pulmonary exacerbations, leading her to host CF research educational events for in-patient hospital staff. Katie is also the co-lead for the multidisciplinary CF Quality Improvement team, whose projects have elevated patient care, restructured clinic work flow, and have been presented at multiple conferences. Away from the lab, Katie enjoys skiing with her husband and daughters, running with her two Australian Shepherds, and volunteering for Girls on the Run.
