Ashley Scott is a registered nurse (RN) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in 2000. She initially pursued a career as an inpatient nurse in the intermediate medical surgical unit before becoming a clinical research nurse for Illinois Lung Institute (ILI) in 2003. She began her clincial research coordinator career conducting inpatient studies in the areas of sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and pneumonia. Later she then worked with the physicians of ILI conducting trials of medications and devices to treat COPD, emphysema, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and cystic fibrosis. She loved the cystic fibrosis clinic team and the patients so much, she began to concentrate more on cystic fibrosis clinical trials. In 2015 Peoria's CF Center became a Therapeutic Development Network (TDN ) site. In 2019 she was given the opportunity to become the inpatient clinical coordinator at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center CF Clinic, in addition to continuing to conduct cystic fibrosis clinical trials with the CF team. Ashley lives in Glasford Illinois with her husband of 22 years Rick, and their two children Eli 19 and Ethan 17.
