Susanna A. McColley, MD, Professor of Pediatrics in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, is a CF physician and researcher and co-Director of the CFF Therapeutics Development Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She serves as Associate Director for Child Health and Director of the TL1 Multidisciplinary Training Program in Child and Adolescent Health at the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and Scientific Director for Interdisciplinary Research Partnerships at Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. She is Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology. Her CF research interests are outcomes of newborn screening, predictors of accelerated disease, new devices for CF diagnosis and monitoring, therapeutic clinical trials, and characterizing and reducing contributors to health disparities.
Dr. McColley co-developed and co-directs "Antiracist Strategies for Clinical and Translational Research", a Northwestern University Graduate School course. She is a member of the President’s Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Lurie Children’s Hospital, a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation External Racial Justice Working Group, and a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Newborn Screening Committee, co-leading the Equity and Sensitivity subcommittee. She has recently completed terms as Chair of the Lifespan Enterprise Committee of the Clinical and Translational Science Award Programs and as a member of the American Board of Pediatrics Continuous Certification Committee Eliminating Health Disparities/ Addressing Equity working group.
