Baylor College of Medicine
Molly McGee was born and raised in Houston, TX. She received a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a Minor in Psychology from Southwestern University. Afterwards, Molly worked as a Psychiatric Research Assistant at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston which allowed her to beat her husband, Cliff, into publication in medical journals…much to his dismay. She then returned to the University of Houston to get her Masters in Vocal Performance. Molly and Cliff moved to Hawaii in 1998 where she performed with the Hawaii Opera Theatre, Mae Z. Orvis Opera Studio and other venues. After returning to Houston, she opened a private voice studio in 2002 and has been teaching ever since. During that time, she supported her husband who had Cystic Fibrosis, multiple other health issues, and finally AML. She also helped care for several other family members with cancer and other medical problems until their passing. Many medical professionals would ask if she was a doctor or nurse. Cliff would always respond, “She’s field trained.”
