Dr. Manning, MD is child and adolescent psychiatrist and assistant professor in the Division of Child and Family Mental Health at Duke University. She is triple boarded is pediatrics, adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She specializes in treating patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She served as a consulting psychiatrist to the Duke children’s pediatric cystic fibrosis clinic. Dr. Manning’s research interests include harnessing the power of peer mentorship to improve adherence and outcomes for adolescents and young adults living with chronic conditions, as well as integrating mental healthcare into subspecialty clinics. She is the medical director of Adolescents Transitioning to Leadership and Success, a peer mentorship group for children living with chronic conditions. Dr. Manning’s educational interests include enhancing behavioral health education for pediatric trainees, primary care providers, and subspecialists.
