Leslie A. Miller, BA, MSW, LICSW is the Mental Health Coordinator and Medical Social Worker for the UAB Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center.
Leslie has a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. Roll Tide! She began her mental health career working at the Alabama Research Institute on Aging with Rebecca Allen, PhD, as a Project Manager for the LIFE Project and interviewing older adult inmates about living with chronic illness, aging, and dying in prison with Amy Tackett, PhD. She has worked on a residential treatment unit in a maximum security prison and managed a team of 5 as a Site Administrator at a medium security prison. Prior to working at UAB, she worked in an emergency room assessing patients of all ages and backgrounds with psychiatric emergencies.
Leslie is from Mobile, AL and now resides in Birmingham, AL with her cat, Sunday Joy. She spends most of her free time playing softball, adding new birds to her life list, traveling, hiking, camping, and going to concerts.
