Stacy Bichl, APN-CPNP is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. She received her Masters’ degree in nursing from the University of Illinois, has dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Chemistry and is certified as Pediatric nurse practitioner, asthma educator and health coach. She has practiced in nursing and the care of children for over 30 years, with 20 years as an APN in the pulmonary division at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She has co-authored numerous publications, including research on risk factors for pulmonary decline in adolescents with CF in Pediatric Pulmonology, and the results of a center QI initiative to reduce airway infection rates for CF in British Medical Journal of Safety and Quality. She has been a leader in many local and national CF QI initiatives. Stacy is recognized as a national leader for nursing in CF, and is a facilitator for the CFF Leadership and Education Fellowship Program for APPs. She currently works as the CF Center Coordinator for Pediatrics, coordinates the Newborn screen program and is a primary CF provider to a large segment of children and adolescents at the Lurie CF Center.
