Jesun Lee is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Medicine, Cedars Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA. He holds a PhD in Pathophysiology from the Seoul National University, Republic of Korea. His research interests include identification of various diseases relevant to CFTR and functional characterization of rare or unknown CFTR mutation in patient with multiple complications, based on electrophyiological methods. He is currently working on a project, tentatively entitled, “Personalized medicine in Cystic Fibrosis: Identification of Novel, rare CFTR mutations in a patient with atypical Cystic Fibrosis by Whole Exome Sequencing and multiple approaches to find treatment options", which is a unique personalized therapy strategy according to plausible genetic explanations for variable phenotypic expressivity in a patient with atypical CF. Kalema will be submiting a grant proposal in th same year upon completion of his current project.
