Dr. Rebecca Hicks is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California Los Angeles, as well as the Medical Director of the Miller Children's Hospital, Long Beach Endocrine and Diabetes Center. She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry and Minor in English at UCLA, followed by medical school at the University of Southern California, where she was selected for membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of California Irvine, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. With support from the EnVision CF: Emerging Leaders in CF Endocrinology II Program, she provides endocrinology consultations in the pediatric CF centers at UCLA and Miller Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Hicks sees every interaction with children and parents as an opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact in their lives. Her scholarly interests include quality improvement initiatives in the screening and management of diabetes mellitus and endocrine complications of cystic fibrosis.
