Dr. Jillian Sullivan, MD MSCS is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology. Her primary interests within pediatric gastroenterology include nutrition, cystic fibrosis (CF), and inflammatory bowel disease. She is the Associate Pediatric Program Director of the Vermont Cystic Fibrosis Center and cares for pediatric patients with CF as part of the University of Vermont Children's Hospital multidisciplinary CF Clinic.
Dr. Sullivan’s interest in CF began early in her career as a recipient of a CF Foundation Clinical Fellowship award at Children’s Hospital Colorado. As an early faculty member at UVM, she was a member of the inaugural DIGEST (Developing Innovative GastroEnterologic Specialty Training) class. She has investigated the use of probiotics in patients with CF, was a member of the CF enteral tube feeding clinical care guidelines committee, and was the UVM site PI for multi-centered CF studies including GROW (oral glutathione and growth in CF: a multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled double-blind trial) and GALAXY (a multicenter study of patient-reported gastrointestinal symptoms in people with CF). She is currently a co-investigator of BEGIN (A Prospective Study to Evaluate Biological and Clinical Effects of Significantly Corrected Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator Function in Infants and Young Children).
