Breck Gamel is a parent of a child with cystic fibrosis and co-leads the Network Leadership Team of the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Learning Network, a Network of 26+ CF Care Centers from around the US where patients, family members, clinicians and researchers collaborate and test new solutions and tools for improving outcomes across the CF community. Breck is a 2018 graduate of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s I2S2 program where she studied advanced improvement methodology which she applied specifically to improving patient and family partnerships. Breck has served as an external consultant on a variety of improvement projects for clients including for Genetech and Folia Health. In 2015, Breck served as an ePatient scholar to the MedicineX Conference in Stanford, California. In 2016, Breck co-led the Patient and Family Research Council for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and later shared that learning at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference. In 2017, Breck served as Parent Faculty on the American Board of Pediatrics. She lives in Texas and enjoys spending time with her three children and their dog, Jellybean.
