Jonathan Cogen, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington. Jon clinically cares for children with cystic fibrosis as well as children with other chronic lung diseases, including children requiring tracheostomies and long-term ventilation, asthma, and BPD. His primary research area of interest is antimicrobial utilization and antimicrobial stewardship in pediatric pulmonary health with an emphasis on pulmonary exacerbation treatment in children with CF. Jon helped to link the CF Foundation Patient Registry with the Pediatric Health Information System database and uses this dataset to perform comparative effectiveness studies evaluating pulmonary exacerbation treatment strategies. He has extensive experience in pediatrics, epidemiology, study design, and biostatistics.
Outside of work, Jon loves to spend time with his wife and two kids and is an enormous sports fan who supports the Chicago White Sox, San Francisco 49ers, and Arsenal FC.
