Dr. Sunjay R Devarajan is an Assistant Professor of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, TX. He grew up in the suburbs of Dallas-Fort Worth and knew he wanted to be a doctor from a young age. He did his undergraduate training in biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin followed by medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He left the state for an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., which helped spur his interest in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and bronchiectasis. Sunjay returned to Texas to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at BCM and joined the faculty there in August 2019. He sees patients at the Adult CF Center at BCM and practices inpatient pulmonology and critical care at Baylor-St Luke's Medical Center. He has been awarded multiple teaching awards and is actively invested in trainee education. In 2021, he received a PACE Award from the CF Foundation, giving him dedicated time for clinical research on minority outcomes In CF. In his spare time, Sunjay enjoys reading, exercising, spending time with his family, and playing music with his rock band, Little Victories.
