Mrs Gemma Stanford (BSc (HONS), MCSP) is a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London where she has worked since 2005. She recently completed a HEE/NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship and is currently writing up her PhD investigation into outcome measures for airway clearance in adults with CF. Gemma has published and presented internationally on several aspects of physiotherapy and CF care including non-invasive ventilation, airway clearance and the challenges of ageing. Gemma is the chair of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society’s Physiotherapy Specialist Interest Group (PhySIG), a research representative on the committee of the UK’s Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Cystic Fibrosis (ACPCF) and the UK representative for the REACH for CF collaboration.
