Clinical Research Fellow and Paediatric Registrar
University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, United Kingdom
My name is Dr Alexander Yule (BMBMS, BMedSci, MRCPCH) and I am a clinical research fellow working in the University of Nottingham. I have a background working as a paedaitric registrar across the East Midlands in the UK. I am a member of the Nottingham Cystic Fibrosis and Children's Respiratory Centre and my supervisor is Professor Alan Smyth. My current work focuses on the use of MRI in researching gastrointestinal function in people with CF.
I have now spent the last year working as a clinical research fellow on the Gut Imaging for Function and Transit in CF 3 (GIFT-CF3) study (https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/record/NCT04618185). This is a leading study exploring gastrointestinal (GI) dysfunction in cystic fibrosis using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
I have recently started a PhD course (PhD in Child Health) at the University of Nottingham.
