Lauren is a 4th year PhD student researcher at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Following graduation, Lauren worked on cell models of ultra-rare metabolic disorders with a genetic origin for Mitch Drumm at the Research Institute for Children's Health. Lauren's graduate work focuses on cystic fibrosis modifier genes through mouse models. She is interested in the translational side of research - getting the amazing discoveries from academia into a setting where they can directly benefit patients.
