Dr. Gina Hong is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She received her M.D. at Rutgers University- New Jersey Medical School and then completed her internal medicine residency training and chief medical residency at the University of Chicago. Her clinical and scientific commitment to cystic fibrosis grew during her pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, where she also received her Masters of Health Science at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Pubilic Health. Dr. Hong's research focuses on the study and diagnosis of fungal infections, specifically Aspergillus fumigatus, and its role and impact on CF lung disease. Her work is currently funded by the NIH/NHLBI and CFF.
