Analia J. Vazquez Cegla is a third-year graduate student at Emory University. She was born and raised in Asuncion, Paraguay and her first language is Spanish. Analia moved to the United States in 2014 for her undergraduate studies. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Smith College in 2018, and later worked at a protein engineering and antibody discovery company, called Adimab, for two years before joining graduate school. Her main area of research now is understanding the mechanistic drivers of cystic fibrosis related diabetes and its connection to rapid lung function decline. In her free time, Analia loves spending time outdoors running, hiking, kayaking or skiing.
