Normand Allaire received a B.S. in Botany (1992) with a concentration in genetics and an M.S. (1995) in Biochemistry from the University of Rhode Island. He has held scientific positions at Genome Therapeutics, Ariad Genomics Center, and Biogen where he has set up and managed genomics laboratories. In 2017, Mr. Allaire assumed the position of Head of NGS and Genomics at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Laboratory in Lexington MA. His research interests include applications of genomics methods to characterize therapeutic compounds that promote readthrough for CFTR PTC mutations and modulation of CFTR mRNA splicing to provide therapeutic benefits for people with CF that harbor 3’ terminal variants. He has authored/coauthored more than 30 scientific articles.
