Michael Kim is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC). He received his B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and his Ph.D. in Cell and Structural Biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He completed his postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Yuh-Nung Jan at the University of California, San Francisco. Michael was a faculty member in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before moving to KUMC. His research focuses on understanding the molecular pathways underlying inflammation-induced mucociliary dysfunction in cystic fibrosis.
