Dr. Elizabeth Kramer, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with a clinical and research interest in early cystic fibrosis lung disease. Dr. Kramer joined the Pediatric Pulmonary Division at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 2016 with a long standing passion for basic and translational pulmonary research. Previously, she completed a joint MD/PhD program at the University of Cincinnati and stayed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for the remainder of her clinical training. Dr. Kramer is a Co-Associate Director of the CCHMC Cystic Fibrosis Center, where she cares for young children with CF. Her research focus is on the early lung pathology and remodeling found in cystic fibrosis, with a focus on the role of TGFbeta in CF-relevant lung pathology. In addition, she is the Director of the Model Systems Core of the CFF Research and Development Program in Cincinnati. Ultimately, Dr. Kramer’s laboratory is focused on discovering therapies to alter the trajectory of CF lung disease in childhood.
