Shelia Ball is a fulltime respiratory clinical specialist and diagnostic lab coordinator for the pulmonary team at Levine Children’s Hospital specialty clinic in Charlotte N.C. She obtained her master’s degree in Respiratory Care from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has over 28 years’ experience as a bedside critical care respiratory therapist specializing in neonatal and pediatric patients. She has worked in the outpatient clinic for 2 years and assisted in evolving the diagnostic lab to the practice. She has research publications and multiple awards for her work at Levine Children’s Hospital. She works close with the cystic fibrosis center director and is eagerly participating in the CF clinic working on research and quality improvement projects in our clinic, to provide the best care possible for our patients. Her personal motto is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson “to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded”.
