Lauren Lyons, MSPT, cNDT, received her MSPT from Boston University and has been employed in various positions within Yale New Haven Hospital since 2001. She has been dedicated to the pediatric population since 2005 and has been working with Pediatric CF Center since 2008. She also serves as an inpatient therapist covering the pediatric lifespan and coordinating pediatric rehab staff throughout the children’s hospital as the pediatric lead. She has been involved in multiple QI/QA projects as they relate to enhancing quality of care delivered within rehabilitation services, the neonatal intensive care unit and CF Care. She participated with the CF team in LLC6 in 2009 focusing on specific education on airway clearance as well as developing a protocol for annual exercise testing. She assisted in developing and advocating for the role of PT in the adult clinic at Yale and has served as an initial mentor to the adult PT staff. She has also served a PT mentor through the CFF mentor program. Current QI/QA projects include enhancing timely referrals for DEXA scans and follow-up education. She is the team leader for the hospital Great Strides team and is a member of the CFLF board of directors and loves all things outdoors!
