Marian LaForest, MPH, is an informationist at the Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She specializes in science communication, editing, and systematic searching. The scope of her responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, advising the CUIMC community, leading classes, and developing educational events. Marian has previously worked as a researcher at a University of Tennessee cell biology lab and as a communications specialist at Oak Ridge Associated Universities. She has received a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Environmental Health from Boston University and bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and English from the University of Tennessee.
