Elizabeth Crabtree Killen works as the Administrator of Clinical Transformation within the Population Health Department at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she serves as faculty in the Department of Public Health Sciences. In this role, Elizabeth oversees MUSC’s value-based care programs, working to improve health outcomes and reduce costs for patients in value-based arrangements. Prior to coming to MUSC, Elizabeth served in leadership positions in quality, clinical integration, population health and evidence-based practice at several academic medical centers and community hospitals, including time at Oregon Health and Science University, as their Director of Clinical Integration and on faculty in the AHRQ-funded Pacific Northwest Center for EBP. She possesses 15 years’ experience leading interprofessional clinical teams to develop and implement evidence-based plans of care, and leading strategy development and implementation of health systems’ quality and value-based care programs. Elizabeth earned her BA from Johns Hopkins University, her MPH from Emory University, and her PhD in Health Services Research at the University of Texas School of Public Health.
