Amy Reyes, MLIS (she/ella/they) is an Education and Clinical Services Librarian at the Lamar Soutter Library at UMass Chan Medical School. In this role she serves as a liaison to the Diversity and Inclusion Office, Office of Health Equity and DRIVE Committee, serving the information needs of diversity intitiatives across the UMass Chan community. As a member of MLA she is also involved with the Latinx, Public Health/Health Administration, Accessibility and Disability, and the Social Justice and Health Disparities Caucuses. Reyes is passionate about improving health and science communication, information access, health literacy, and health equity. Prior to joining UMass Chan, Reyes worked at University of California, Los Angeles, as a Community Engagement Librarian for the Pacific Southwest Region of the Network of the National Library of Medicine. She worked to promote awareness of the National Institutes of Health's All of Us Research Program as well as citizen science and health literacy. She previously ran early literacy programs, after school STEM programs and a makerspace for a public library. Reyes holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Denver.
