Program Manager
Literally Healing, Children's Hospital Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California
Kyle is the Literally Healing Program Manager, Children Hospital Los Angeles’ book gifting program that provides over 65,000 free books to hospitalized families every year. Kyle’s work with Literally Healing has expanded the program’s focus beyond gifting a book a day for distraction-based therapy, to include work on reducing the book access gap in low-income areas of Los Angeles. He is also the co-founder of the hospital’s Hardback Life, a book club focused on children’s literature for hospital staff. With over a decade of program creation, development and nonprofit management, Kyle merges his love of reading, theatre, and equity on his work within CHLA’s Cultural Humility Council and as a board member of the Children’s Literature Council of Southern California. He is an MPH candidate at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health in the Executive Health Policy and Management department, scheduled to graduate in June 2022.
