Kate Flewelling, AHIP, is the Director of Alumni Medical Library at Boston University. Kate received her BA degree, cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College and her MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to joining BU, Kate spent ten years at the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM), Middle Atlantic Region, where she held the positions of Outreach Coordinator, Health Professions Coordinator and Executive Director. Kate is a Distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals and, in 2017, was named a Distinguished Alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies. She has held numerous professional appointments, including chair of MACMLA, and currently is Co-Chair of the 2023 National Programming Committee.
