Andrea Hayes, MLS, is the Outreach Services Librarian at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Columbus State University and a Master’s in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. As an outreach librarian, she works to help the people in the state of Arkansas become health literate and to improve their health by sharing medical research and consumer health resources. Andrea is passionate about helping the underserved communities in Arkansas through community outreach. She currenlty serves on the Journal of the Medical Library Association Editorial Board.
